Sneak Peek at Departure Dates in 2019
We are beginning to post departure dates for 2019! Get a head start looking at next year’s tour dates so you are set to take advantage of upcoming early booking discounts on European tours. We’ll be posting prices as fast as we can, but in the meantime you can start to plan your travel schedule!
First up on our calendar this year is the Iberian Peninsula. Portugal and Spain are top cycling destinations in Europe, and it’s easy to understand why. From Catalonia’s vibrant culture and cuisine, to the stunning coastlines of Portugal’s coast, to the rich history and rolling hills along Northern Spain’s famous Camino de Santiago, tours in these two countries fill up fast so we suggest planning ahead.
Bicycling Catalonia’s Costa Brava Plus! Barcelona
Begin your bicycle tour in the stunning city of Girona, one of the most fought after towns in all of Spanish history, and continue to travel along the Costa Brava and through the rolling hills of the Empordà region – dotted with Roman ruins and medieval towns. You’ll stop along the way and see hidden fishing villages and quiet walled towns coming back to life after the winter season. Take in the sights and sounds of spring as you pedal under the sun through nature reserves and ancient Roman spa towns before finishing in Barcelona, one of Europe’s most-loved cities.
A few highlights to look forward to: Barcelona, Garrotxa Volcanic Natural Area, Girona, Figueres and Dali Museum, Medieval Villages, Costa Brava Beaches, Vic, Extraordinary Food – Girona has more restaurants with Michelin stars than anywhere else in the world

Cycling the Camino de Santiago – Roncesvalles to Santiago
Cycle across northern Spain while discovering the legendary Camino de Santiago. As James Michner once wrote, “a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is the finest journey in Spain”. The earliest records of a pilgrimage to St. John’s grave date back to the 9th century and, since then, people from across the world have been traveling this historic route. Along the way, explore Gothic cathedrals, visit medieval monasteries, and pedal through one of Spain’s premier wine growing regions – the Rioja. Selected by National Geographic Traveler magazine as one of “50 Tours of a Lifetime” in 2010, our bike tour along the Camino is more than a bicycle tour, this is a trip of a lifetime.
A few highlights to look forward to: Follow the route of the Codex Calixtinus, 1000 years of history along the Camino de Santiago, gather stamps on your Pilgrim’s Passport, guided tour of León, option to hike one day with other pilgrims, Burgos, Santiago de Compostela.
