Our private group departures are the perfect ‘plug and play’ option for folks who are perfectly happy with any of our existing itineraries. But, let’s say your group wants to retrace the mountain stages of a former Giro d’Italia, or you want to totally modify one of our existing itineraries with longer days and swankier hotels. Customizing a tour affords endless flexibility.

Which option is right for you?

Schedule a private group departure if:

Your group size is 10 or more, AND
You want to take any one of published tours, but our dates don’t match your needs; OR,
We don’t have enough space on a published tour for your group.

Plan a custom tour if:

Your group size is 8 or more;
You are interested in a route, itinerary, or hotel upgrades that we don’t currently offer; OR,
You want to modify an existing itinerary.

Join an
existing
tour if:

Your group size is between 6 and 10 and space is available on any advertised public departure.
We’ll reward everyone in the group with a $200 rebate per traveler. The group savings comes as a refund once the tour is running since it is based on the final number of people who depart. Be sure to list your group name on your reservation form.

Private group departure basics

We can schedule a private group departure for any tour we offer.

Private group departure pricing is based on group size.

For a group of 10, the tour cost is the same as our advertised price.
For a group of 11-18, travelers receive a $200 off our advertised price. If your group books during our annual Early Booking Discount we will take another $100 off per person. *Since these discounts are dependent on group size, they will be applied as refunds after full payment has been made.
Bike and Boat tours need a minimum of 12 people to go and boat deposits are often due months in advance. Discounts for groups greater than 12 are determined during feasibility stage of planning.

Discounts cannot be combined with the exception of our final payment by check or cash discount.

Individuals without a roommate will be charged the full Private Room fee. There is no will share option possible.

How to request a private group departure

Search for the tour of your choice on our website, then view the tour page. Click the “Request private group departure” button from the right-side menu:

An inquiry form will appear on a new page. Fill out and submit. Our sales team will follow-up with you.

Custom tour basics

The amount of lead time required to develop a custom tour depends on several factors, such as where and what time of year you wish to travel and how familiar we are with the region where you wish to bike. Planning a year (or more) in advance is not too early!

Pricing for custom tours is based on several factors, such as hotels selected, number of meals included, group size and destination.

Discounts cannot be combined with the exception of our 1.5% discount for final payment by check or cash.

Individuals without a roommate will be charged the full Private Room fee. There is no will share option possible.
